Do you ever wonder why people invest in quality furniture that looks great in their home, but then display speakers that are made of plastic or similar low quality materials? I do, and it has driven me to create something better. Imagine walking into your living room, where every piece of furniture tells a story of craftsmanship and care then picture audio that not only sounds breathtaking but looks like it belongs in that same story. That’s what I create at Chordwood by Cornaggia. I’m Luke Cornaggia, and I’m obsessed with building speakers that don’t just fill your space with sound but become a cherished part of your home’s aesthetic.

Fifteen years ago, this journey began as a spark ignited by conversations with coworkers who shared my love for great audio. Excited to upgrade my home sound, I saved up and splurged thousands at a big-box store, expecting a game-changer. The sound was better than my TV’s speakers, sure, but those bulky, black, laminated boxes? They clashed with the solid wood furniture I’d worked hard to furnish my modest home with. The cheap speaker fabric hiding the woofers and tweeters felt like a compromise I couldn’t live with. I searched for speakers that matched the elegance of my living space, but nothing came close. That’s when I decided to take matters into my own hands.
As a lifelong woodworking enthusiast with little knowledge in electrical engineering, I dove headfirst into the complex world of speaker building and sound quality. Online forums became my classroom, and my garage became a workshop filled with trial, error, and a lot of sawdust. The learning curve was steep, but I was fascinated by it and every mistake over the last 15 years has taught me something new about the intricate science of sound. What started as a hobby became an obsession, and over the years I’ve honed my craft, blending my love for woodworking with a deep understanding of audio engineering.
Today, I have turned that passion into Chordwood by Cornaggia, my first-ever business dedicated to creating speakers that redefine what home audio can be. My mission is simple: to build speakers that outperform anything you’ll find in a big-box store while looking like the finest piece of furniture in your home. Each piece is handcrafted with the same care and pride I put into furnishing my own space all those years ago. These speakers are a statement, a blend of art and technology designed to elevate your home and your listening experience.
I’m still a proud speaker nerd, always learning, always refining. Thank you for considering Chordwood by Cornaggia for your home. Let’s create something beautiful together.
Sincerely,
Luke Cornaggia
